Welcome to the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology
Our faculty is a mix of internationally known senior researchers and an energetic group of junior faculty at the cutting edges of their fields.
We train graduate and undergraduate students with research interests in ecology, evolutionary biology, animal behavior, conservation biology, behavioral and population genetics, computational, theoretical and ecology and evolution, ecosystem and community ecology, global change biology, and diverse areas of organismal biology.
Department News
- Congratulations to Mark Genung and a team of current and former EEB undergrads, graduate students, and faculty on their new paper in PLoS one. The paper shows the effects of within-plant species diversity on pollinators. This paper is one of the products of Joe Bailey and Jen Schweitzer's Field Ecology (EEB 415) course.
- A new paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences by Jim Fordyce, Nate Sanders, and others highlights the dual threats of climate change and habitat alteration on butterfly diversity.
