Research

Understanding the dynamics of epidemics, wildfires, and crime is essential to mitigating potential damage they may cause. Using cellular automata modeling, I observe the spread of these events and apply methods of optimization and control to determine where and when aid should be deployed. This can then be used to develop optimal emergency response policies.
