The program is especially designed for students who are interested in discovering their potential for a research career. EuroScholars offers unique opportunities to spend a semester as a student researcher at one of the top European research institutions. Each semester a central European Midstay Program (2-3 days) is organized for all students.

New graduate students and undergraduates considering graduate school should attend. The workshop is entitled, “Beginning with the End in Mind: How to Come out of this With a Job” and features Donald Asher, a nationally known speaker and author. He will share tips and stories on how to maximize your time at university. The Office of Undergraduate Research seeks yearly nominations for undergraduates to share their university research/scholarly experiences with lawmakers in Washington, D.C.

Hosted by the Council on Undergraduate Research, the event showcases 60 undergraduate students from campuses across the United States.

Every February, undergraduate researchers from across the State of Tennessee convene at the State Capitol to share their projects with state legislators.

Pursuit accepts advanced, original, research-based submissions from undergraduate students in all academic disciplines. Graduates may submit their work within one year of their graduation date.

With more than 4,000 undergraduate students in attendance, this event is the largest annual gathering of undergraduate research students presenting their research and creative activities. The University of Tennessee, Knoxville will be offering travel scholarships for this event. Students with accepted abstracts will receive preference for scholarships.

This program is designed to support both faculty and student engagement and collaboration while pursuing original research and exposing the student to the research process. Faculty will receive $2,000 to pay the student researcher and a $250 stipend for materials.

This award, given at the Chancellors Honors Banquet, honors a student who has shown success and excellence in undergraduate research. The recipient of this award will be a junior or senior student judged to have best demonstrated excellence in undergraduate research through independent inquiry, through classes, and student employment during his/her undergraduate career

2/12/2017 online Summer Internship Funds submission due ugresearch.utk.edu/summer-research-internships/
The UT Knoxville Office of Undergraduate Research funds a summer internship program to promote research and creative activity among undergraduate students. All current full-time undergraduate students enrolled at the Knoxville campus are eligible to apply. Students graduating in May or August 2016 are not eligible. Multiple internships of up to $1,900 each will be awarded to support students who will work on a research or creative project with a UT Knoxville faculty mentor in the summer of 2016. (These funds are paid through departmental payroll at $15/hr.) Students who participate in the fall research celebration, Discovery Day, and display their research through a poster will be awarded an additional $100 through departmental payroll.
